Showering Baby Leo

Reminiscing with these photos of what was only a little over a month ago makes me realize how much has changed in just a few weeks. Though the belly may have shrunk, allowing me to now fit between parked cars and tables at a restaurant, my arms are now filled with a small bundle of joy and a bigger, more talkative one. But compiling these also made me so grateful for memories like the ones above. We had a wonderful pastry chef surprise us with that wonder of a cake, my mom and dad cooked mouthwatering dishes, and we were surrounded by unparalleled company: a day that couldn’t get much better. Although the heat and humidity made me feel like the Wicked Witch from the Wizard of Oz… you know what I mean: “I’m melting! I’m melting!”… yea, a lot like that.

Isabella had fun “releasing” balloons, and after the first one left the grasp of her pudgy little hands, she was the good kind of hysterical. Laughing away, she let about 10 more go. She had most of our friends and family wrapped around her finger, swimming, rolling in the grass, popping giant bubbles. Basically reverting everyone back to their younger years. It’s really endearing for me to look back at these pictures and see my younger cousins engaging with Isabella with the same smiles on their faces that I had while playing with them.

We like to joke that my pregnant belly competes with my dad’s… normal belly (haha!), so that picture of us standing beside one another cracks me up because it really displays a prominent comparison there. Jokes aside, we would like to extend a huge thank you to all of our friends and family for coming together for another Pazmino-Piuggi baby shower. However cheesy it is to say, it warms my heart seeing all the love that others have given to us along the way. We love you all!baby leo snuggled hospital

Now that my mouth is watering from these food and dessert pics, I am going to go have a late night snack…

** Thank you to my mother-in-law for taking these wonderful photos! **
